Two-day Machu Picchu visit or a longer Peru vacation?
For two days, compare the focused train route with the Sacred Valley combination: Pisac and Ollantaytambo are the distinguishing visits in the latter. The four-day option includes Cusco sightseeing; the five-day option includes Rainbow Mountain. The three-day luxury option is a separate service-style choice, not a longer version of the same two-day route.
For Lima and museum interests, start with Special Peru, six days. For Machu Picchu plus the Cusco-to-Puno journey and Lake Titicaca islands, compare Andean Experience, nine days. The 13-day Wonders of Peru itinerary adds the southern coast, Nazca, Arequipa and Colca Canyon to the wider Andean journey.
Check which arrival and departure days are already included in the listed duration. Allow additional time for travel outside those scheduled days, then compare transfer days, hotel changes and free time. More days do not automatically mean a gentler pace or readiness for high-altitude travel; use Cusco acclimatization planning for arrival context.
Starting in Cusco or arriving through Lima?
There is no single departure point for all eight packages. The three longer Peru programs list arrival at Lima airport: Special Peru and Wonders of Peru finish at Cusco airport, while Andean Experience finishes at Juliaca airport. Match your arrival and departure bookings to the selected proposal rather than assuming a Cusco return.
For the shorter Cusco-region options, check the actual meeting point and any airport, hotel or station transfers. For a multi-city journey, compare transport modes and travel time between overnight stops. The Machu Picchu from Lima guide explains the connection choices; there is no direct Lima-to-Machu Picchu train.
Luxury, private services, hotels and train choices
The three-day Luxury Machu Picchu itinerary is the starting point for comparing a hotel-and-train-focused Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu trip. Judge the proposal by named hotels, room category, the train for each direction and the scope of guiding and transfers—not by the luxury label alone. Premium services and changes need date-specific confirmation.
Private transport and private guiding are separate from an entirely private package. The longer itineraries describe private airport transfers, but that does not classify every excursion or train journey. Ask which segments are private or shared, their expected group size and guide language; private guiding does not make a scheduled train exclusive.
For train preferences, compare Machu Picchu train services. Vistadome and Hiram Bingham are different alternatives, not interchangeable services or a promise of both. Your proposal should identify the service and stations in each direction, plus each hotel location, room type, occupancy and overnight allocation.
Families, solo travelers and different walking needs
For a family or mixed-ability party, shortlist by shared interests, then compare walking and steps, early starts, long transfers, rest opportunities and hotel changes. Share children’s ages and practical access requirements. Neither a short duration, private vehicle nor train journey establishes accessibility or suitability; see Machu Picchu accessibility planning.
Solo travelers should compare the one-person booking basis, room occupancy, any single supplement and the service format. Ask about any proposed room-sharing or departure arrangements before booking. For couples, compare privacy, room preferences and time between activities; the honeymoon guide offers planning context, not included romantic extras.
The five-day Rainbow Mountain combination adds a hike to the sightseeing route. Review walking time, ascent, sleeping locations and high-altitude exposure rather than relying on an easy label. Rainbow Mountain altitude planning supports that decision; no itinerary duration provides individual medical clearance.
Package cost, all-inclusive scope and flight exclusions
All eight packages are quote only here. Compare offers for the same dates, travelers, rooms and selected services. Request the currency, per-person or party basis, occupancy, supplements, taxes and fees, exclusions and final whole-party total; a bundled quote should still identify what the bundle covers.
There is no universal all-inclusive package scope. Machu Picchu entry, trains, Consettur bus between Aguas Calientes and the entrance and guiding are separate components to check, alongside hotels, meals, transfers and other admissions. The entry arrangement should specify date, time, circuit and full admission route name/code. The Cusco Tourist Ticket is not a Machu Picchu entry ticket.
The Special Peru, Andean Experience and Wonders of Peru itineraries exclude both domestic and international flights. A flight connection in a proposed schedule does not mean its airfare is included. Wonders of Peru separately lists a Nazca Lines sightseeing overflight; that is different from connecting airfare. Check whether each flight and excursion is included in your written quote.
Before payment, use the tour quote checklist to resolve service scope, total, availability status, payment and cancellation terms. The offer should identify the contracting company and payment recipient. When booking documents arrive, the booking-document audit helps compare them with the agreed itinerary.
Dates, route conditions and your package enquiry
Choose dates with the whole route in mind: coastal stops, Andean sightseeing and mountain activities do not share one forecast. Use Machu Picchu seasonal planning for that destination, then check conditions and access for the other stops. Compare your preferred dates with the destinations and activities you want to include.
Have a favorite—or two to compare? Send a package name or preferred duration, approximate dates and traveler count. Arrival plans, hotel and train preferences, and practical walking needs can be added as your plans develop. Request a proposed itinerary, current availability check and written quote; an enquiry does not reserve tickets, trains or hotels.
WhatsApp opens a third-party service. Keep passport numbers, payment details and medical records out of the initial enquiry; describe practical access needs without sharing a diagnosis.
